Hilton Hawaiian Village workers ratify contract, ending 40-day strike at Hawaiʻi’s largest hotel and world’s largest Hilton resort

UPDATE NOVEMBER 4, 2024 Today, workers at the Hilton Hawaiian Village voted to ratify their new contract ending a 40-day strike that began on September 24. Over 1,800 workers are expected to return to work tomorrow at 4 a.m. The Hilton Hawaiian Village was one of eight hotels that went on a historic 3-day strike over Labor Day Weekend. More than 3,200 Local 5 members at the seven other hotels are still working without a contract and could strike at any time.
